Interesting concept and I applaud LEGO for trying to develop something sustainable, but I question how ‘green’ sugarcane crops are…particularly in Brazil where significant amounts of forest is clear cut to make way for crops like sugarcane, soybeans, etc. Worth thinking about at least. This is sounds more like greenwashing to me.
Thanks for the comment, and very good points. Obviously every sustainable certification and use of any material has risks of green washing, so a bit of due diligence is worthwhile.
